Forrest Gump is a spectacular movie with an enticing plot set during the Vietnam War. Forrest Gump is telling the whole story on a park bench to random passers-by. Tom Hanks portrays Forrest Gump, a young man who enlists in the Vietnam War. He meets an African American man, who most people neglected because of his race, named Bubba and they develop a great relationship. Forrest saves many of his friends in a Vietnam War battle, including Lieutenant Dan, but he is not able to save Bubba. After he gets out of the war, Forrest goes into the shrimping business in honor of Bubba with Lieutenant Dan. Also, there is a background love story between Forrest and his childhood friend Jenny. Eventually, Forrest reunites with Jenny and finds out they have a kid together, and he is an exact copy of Forrest. This movie was adorable and Lieutenant Dan played a perfect stereotypical Vietnam War soldier: he lost his legs in combat, he is still wearing his army jacket, he was mad at the world and thinks everyone is mad at him. I also love Forrest’s character because he is so ignorant and sincere. I would recommend this movie to anyone!!
